President Buhari to Commission Goodluck Jonathan's Train Station in Warri on Tuesday

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammad Buhari on Media, Femi Adesina, disclosed this on Monday.

Femi Adesina also disclosed that the President will flag off commercial train service tomorrow.

He didn't say whether the president will travel down to Warri or it will be commissioned virtually.

"President Buhari Tuesday commissions Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri Rail Project, and Flag-off of Commercial Train Services. PMB strikes again!" Femi Adesina posted on his Twitter handle.

The Itakpe Warri Ajaokuta Rail Project was started by General Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida in 1986. It was completed by President Muhammad Buhari's administration in July and the starting point complex was named after former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

The rail line runs from Itakpe in Delta State to Ajaokuta in Kogi State.

President Muhammad Buhari is committed to the development of the railway sector of the country. He has completed all Rail Projects inherited from his predecessors, he has also initiated new ones. The Lagos Ibadan Railway will also be commissioned soon.

The Kano to Niger Republic Railway has also been approved by the president.

The relationship between President Muhammad Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan is very close lately, that's why the new rail station was named after him.
